Had never been in before. The store was very clean. The staff couldn't be better. We had the stuffed mushrooms, best on Earth. I had the gyro plate really tender. Husband had the burger he said it was good We are going to be back.

This was our first time visiting Athens. I love Mediterranean food, so I'm happy for this addition to our restaurant scene. We both had the Gyro Platter. Everything was delicious. My wife substituted broccoli (sautéed in garlic butter) for the rice and said it was very good. We will definitely be returning!

The chicken dish was pretty good. Seasoned well, however the rice was bland. The fajitas were great, seasoned well, and the rice with this one had the seasoning mixed with it so tasted delicious. I thought I would try the gyro, as I’ve never been a fan of it at other restaurants. I will say the flavor was great, just still not a fan of the texture which is no fault of the restaurant. The setup and decor really isn’t anything special, and there were a few cleanliness issues like tomatoes in the floor when there were only 3 tables in the restaurant. Staff was attentive but could have also cleaned some instead of sitting down and talking while tables were dirty, trash and food in the floor. The only negative was the crab cake which was the whole reason we initially went. They were soaked in grease making them impossible to finish eating, left a grease film in your mouth. Took them home and will rewarm and drain. Other than this, we will be back.

First impression when you walk in is the sweetest smiles from the employees, very clean and relaxing atmosphere. Service and food are both outstanding. Excited to go back and try more. Thank you ladies for a wonderful experience.

The whole experience was just amazing. The service we received was top tier. Every single dish had such amazing flavor notes and an authentic Greek feel. I have been back three times since my very first visit all in a weeks time. This food will absolutely have you craving more.

The food is delicious and service was excellent. Please be advised that the food is made to order so you definitely have time to chat while waiting on your order.

We decided to try Athens because we have a rule of not eating at places we have at home. So while on our Christmas shopping adventure, this is where we picked. Don't worry about the looks! Yes, it's in a strip mall.. and yes the decor is shall we say, sparse.. but it was impeccably clean and staff was welcoming! We started with appetizers, our first two choices were not available, the calamari and the spanakopita. So we got the hummus and the crab stuffed mushrooms. The hummus was ok, I'm not a fan of a lot of olive oil over the top but decent flavor. The crab stuffed mushrooms were decent. Had a strong lemon flavor and zero crab, but as a stuffed mushroom it was a bright tasty version. Our main course, the reason we came to Athens, the gyros! As with the appetizers, we were told they didn't have any fries. Which was the side that comes with, so I asked for maybe a salad instead. Which just caused pure confusion to our poor server. But to our surprise, both came out with fries! Which honestly, were fried perfectly, crispy outer edge and soft fluff inside! On to the important part though, the gyros! OMG!! These were on point! So similar to the ones we loved when we lived in Florida. Absolutely delicious! They actually split the pita and stuff it, veggies then they piled the meat on top, oh and plenty of tzatziki sauce! I chose to dig around with my fork to mix the meat and veggies, my wife ate as assembled, do as you wish. These gyros are huge and perfect! We were too stuffed to eat the baklava with our meal, but let me tell you.. I devoured that incredible sticky flakey deliciousness later at home! Wow! While we usually try to find something new to eat each trip to Jonesboro, we will at least be getting a few gyros and baklava to take home next time we are in town!
